PHW is that we are a national program with headquarters formerly in Washington DC now relocated to Windsor, Colorado. The purpose at a 30,000 foot level is to help veterans with a personal cause and experiences to help reduce veteran suicide rates by giving them a mission in their life. Veteran suicide rates are over 22% and growing for those with rated disabilities currently. Denver and Colorado Springs have the two largest programs nationally within PHW and host many events from monthly meetings, rod building classes, fly tying classes, fly fishing classes to actual outdoor adventures with mentors and veterans.
